Olivia Fantis is an experienced senior solicitor within our firm, having been with Woods & Co Lawyers since graduating from a Bachelor of Laws with Honours at the University of Adelaide Olivia is known for her practical and organised approach to matters, thorough knowledge of the law and compassionate nature. This combination sees her regularly achieve the best possible outcomes for her clients in a range of criminal and traffic matters, whether it be in the Magistrates Court, District Court or Supreme Court.
At university, Olivia was awarded the Edmund Barton Chambers Prize for Criminal Law and Procedure. She then completed a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the Australian National University. Olivia is admitted as a barrister and solicitor in the Supreme Court of South Australia, the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia.
Olivia spends her time representing her clients in all areas of the criminal law including drug offences, assault matters, traffic law, sexual offences, firearms matters and murder. She routinely appears as counsel for trial and sentencing submissions in the Magistrates Court, as well as conducting sentencing submissions in the District Court. In addition to appearing as counsel on many matters, Olivia regularly juniors Senior Counsel and other members of the independent bar whether that be in the Supreme Court before the Court of Criminal Appeal or in District Court trials.
All of this experience under the tutelage of our principal, Michael Woods, means that her clients are represented to an extremely high standard and can rest assured that everything possible is being done on their behalf to ensure the best outcome possible in the circumstances of their matter.
